Outcome: Advantage to Red

As mentioned several times,Black should move R9=4, which is more efficient

This is the most effective move for Red to against Black.

Now, Black plays C=3 to attack Red's let horse.

Here, Black has 3 main variations.
1) P3+1
2) E3+1
3) R9=3

In the previous post, Black played P3+1 and E3+1, avantage went to Red.

In this post, we will discuss Black R9=3 variation.

Black plays R9=3. The purpose of Black is to capture Red's 7th pawn.

So, what is the most effective move for Red?

Correct move! Red has his own plan.

Black R1+1 as planned, to exchange the chariot.

  8. R9=8  …………

Key move!

This is Black's actual plan.

  9. R7=4  …………

If Red played, R7+3 to exchange chariot, Black would gain initiative after the exchanged.
Therefore, Red must not exchange his chariot.
R7=4 is an excellent move.

Of course, Black would offer to exchange his chariot again.

Red should not play R4+3!
Red P3+1 is the key move for Red to gain initiative.

In this situation, Black has 2 main variations:
1) P7+1
2) R6+3
